Partnership

Partnership working is vital to ensuring our service users receive holistic support and access

the additional services they need to work towards the goal of independence. From the outset we consult regularly with the prison and probation service to ensure that we have accurate background information about our service users. This serves to not only better inform our support programme, but also ensures that safeguarding and risk mitigation are embedded into every aspect of service delivery.

Safe Space is developing links with employers and education providers that are committed to working with and providing opportunities to prison leavers to develop their skills, engage in training and enter the workforce.

We have relationships with substance misuse and mental health services and work with these agencies to refer our service users for additional support as required.

In addition to these partnerships, our multi-agency approach means that we liaise regularly

with social care agencies and family support services to ensure that we are addressing the

wider social and familial issues of our service users.

Diversity, Equality & Inclusion

At Safe Space Housing, we are committed to delivering a non-judgemental, equitable and

culturally competent service that meets needs of the people and communities we serve.

Through our service provision and partnership working, we strive to dismantle the bias and prejudice faced by prison leavers, which often serves as barrier to them engaging with support.

As proponents of diversity and equality, we prohibit prejudicial and discriminatory behaviour of any kind. At Safe Space, we strive to create and promote an environment of positivity and inclusivity, which is reflected in our processes and service delivery. We offer equitable support to all service users irrespective of their background and, wherever possible, provide support services that meet their individual requirements. Where we are unable to cater for the specific needs of a service user, we will always refer them to alternative, suitable and appropriate support services.
