Safe Space undertakes a thorough and comprehensive safer recruitment process to ensure that we attract and recruit candidates with the right skills and experience. Our support workers have experience of working with individuals with complex needs; delivering personalised support to adults at risk; and an understanding of safeguarding, risk mitigation and confidentiality.

Upon recruitment, support workers undergo a weeklong induction process, which involves training on all Safe Space policies and procedures, the support programme and effective case management.

Meaningful engagement of service users and ensuring consistency of support through staff retention are vital to effective service provision; at Safe Space we achieve this by supporting our staff to continually develop their personal and professional skills and improve their practice. Our learning and development programme ensures that support workers have the skills and knowledge required to offer effective support and contribute to wider organisational development.
